Rehearsal vid :)

We are playing a sweet show tomorrow night.  And then on Sunday, we are shooting a cool video with Joriah Goad :)
I am too busy, building sets, organizing stuff, doing stuff... Clearly I'm also not very coherent.  But here is a cool video filmed by Sally McGovern during our rehearsal on Tuesday.

Enjoy,
and wish me luck for the next two days!

Media Update

Okie Doke Folks, it's been a whirlwind, and we're nearing the eye of the storm! :)  Up top is the poster for our next upcoming show.  Should be an interesting new and old (figuratively old..) line up of performers.  Plus, it will be Mandie Liscious's birthday show, so if nothing else, everyone should come out and see her blow out a candle on a vegan cupcake!

The picture below is one of the photos from our last show, the Inaugural Febrary Freak Fest at the Mix in Georgetown.  I done told ya that I'd post some media as soon as my mitts were on it, and now I have! :)  Cool looking, huh?

We are adding a new players, guitar and bass.  The names are under wraps at the moment, but I have blogged about both of these characters before, so take a good guess, and you will probably be right.  That is exciting news indeed!!!

This week is going to be a crazy one!  We have a video shoot that I'm sure you will hear more about, and see some of it too.  We are starting construction on our new project headquarters - more updates on that will roll in as progress is made.

Another thing of note, is that we will be opening up for Tim Lee while he is in Seattle on tour from cali.  He is a hilarious comedian, and we will be playing for his shows on: Thursday, March 3rd, and Friday March 4th at the Rendezvous Jewelbox Theatre.  I posted a link below to his website if you are curious and want a good laugh.

Okay, but now I have to run... I have about a million exciting projects in the works right now, and so I don't even have the time yet to tell you about all of them.

But stay posted, sorry for my scatter-brains, and I will be back for more posts soon!

Oh, p.s. Our good friend Cordell is in town from the bay area.  He is a collaborator and a business partner for our outfit.  He also has a band B4V, I'll put a link down below for them too! :)

Okay, bye for real now - no take backs -

B my Valentine

Happy Valentines Day from Ramona The Band!  This little ditty is from our hearts (perhaps in alien hands...) to yours.  But I must give full credit for this beautiful creation to our cohort Endresen Evans.  He is a brilliant artist, who is now joining the creative team.  In fact, I'll just say right now: Thank You Endresen!  You rock!  Seriously!
As a brief update, our show on Saturday was EPIC.  Packed out the house, played some new songs, had some new performers - Fishbone, Mel Sky, Ayca.  Had tons of fun with Heidi and Marcia, as we did some new playful moves.  Brett was a hero of the evening, rocking out the set with white hot solos, and all while under the siege of the flu.  Mandie Liscious made me a new outfit.  A catsuit to die for!  With matching gloves.  Plus a sparkle-tastic bustier.  Also, a special thanks to Gams Galore for being the Georgetown belle of the evening, and DJ Pary Tribe Trolls for bringing out some awesome folks and keeping the dance floor moving seemlessly.  Oh!!! The list could go on and on...  But I had the lovely pleasure of being able to give out these valentines that Endresen made, and now I want to give them to everyone else! :)
And as my last little word, we peaked the evening with our World Prayer.  Just all of us getting up on stage, and spreading love.  My Dad came up and shared a mic with me, while Ben Shepherd shared the other mic with Brett.  All the while, Ayca swayed the crowd with her dancing.  I will post a video as soon as I get my mitts on it!
But again, GREAT SHOW~  And all because of everyone that was a part of it.  So I just want to shout out a thanks to everyone that has been working (really hard!!) with us on it.  And also a big ol' thanks to everyone that came out.  It was a special evening indeed.

With loving regards from your Valentine,
~Dion

February Freak Fest

Come one, come all.  This Saturday is going to be amazing.  I feel a little silly saying that, except that this show has grown into something so much bigger and better than I ever could have imagined!  TBASA and Sap'n start out the groove.  Then DJ Party Tribe Trolls gets everyone's hips shaking.  Get some sweet sips of entertainment from Gams Galore - who will be singing a delightful little ditty about Georgetown.  Swoon a little as you listen to Evan White's crooning.  Check out Mel Sky's Kung Fu Fire Sword (badass!).  And keep them hips moving to the beat of the DJ.  To hit the climax, Ramona The Band has the coolest set yet.  Seriously, I get to share the stage with Ayca, as she belly dances.  Mel Sky will be doing more sword movement (and maybe even some fans!!??? ... not the people, but sticks covered with fabric...) Brett will be playing his sax like nobody's business.  Scobra will be pumping out the fresh beats.  Marcia and Heidi will be the lovely sprites flitting and grinding, and Fishbone will make her debut with us as well.  Singing and dancing - Straight from NYC!  I will be working on conquering my biggest fear: playing an instrument in front of people, as I whip out my sweet bass for Caught Up.  Oh!  And did I mention that Mandie Liscious has cooked up a CAT SUIT for yours truly??? Can anyone say stretch pleather???? :)  Jen of Stone Crow Designs has also cooked up some hot sleeves for me, and a killer... um... Eon Flux bondage-awesomeness little number.  I will not be too kinky, I promise, just cool looking (I hope! ;)  ).  And for the cherry on top, a special, secret, super cool fellow will be singing a song with us as well.  He's quite tall, quite brilliant, and I have posted on here before about him... But it's a special secret surprise! :)   Then, after all that magic, join me on the dance floor as I (for lack of a better way of putting it...) shake my ass to some more DJ Party Tribe Trolls as he takes us out for the rest of the night.
Hopefully this post is coherent.  I am working about 5 jobs right now.  New ones, old ones, temp ones.... Ayyy!  But I'm not trying to complain, I'm actually really psyched about my work(S), just making an offhand excuse in case none of this post reads properly.
